Dear Sullivans Families,

Welcome to The Sullivans Elementary School! It is my absolute pleasure to welcome you to our incredible school community. Whether your family is transitioning from Yokosuka Primary School or joining us from another location, we are excited to begin this journey together.

As the home of Grades 2–4, we are proud to be a school where students transition from learning the basics to becoming Leaders of Learning. Our students are expected to think critically, solve problems, collaborate with others, take ownership of their learning, and develop the confidence to lead both inside and outside the classroom.

Being a Leader of Learning means more than earning good grades. It means asking thoughtful questions, persevering through challenges, showing kindness, taking responsibility, and inspiring others through positive actions. Every student is encouraged to discover their strengths and use them to make a difference in our classrooms, our school, and our community.

Our exceptional teachers create engaging learning experiences that challenge students academically while helping them grow as leaders and citizens. Through meaningful instruction, collaboration, and high expectations, we prepare students to become independent thinkers who are ready for middle school and beyond.

At The Sullivans, we believe our greatest success comes through strong partnerships with families. When schools and families work together, children thrive. We invite you to become an active member of our school community by volunteering, participating in PTO and SAC, attending school events, and staying connected with your child's learning. Your partnership is one of the greatest gifts you can give your child.

Our school motto, "We STICK Together!", reminds us that success is built through teamwork, encouragement, and belonging. Every student, every family, and every staff member plays an important role in creating a school where everyone feels valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.

As your principal, I believe leadership begins with joy. A joyful school is one where students feel seen, teachers feel supported, and families know they belong. My commitment is to
foster a culture where excellence, innovation, and relationships work hand in hand so every
child leaves The Sullivans more confident, more capable, and more prepared for the future.
